I've worn other branded thermals but nothing out there beats Icebreaker. They're warm, comfortable and they don't stink. However, I had to return my last pair because they were way to small round the waist. Ordered my usual size which is size L. Wish someone would let me know if Icebreaker have changed the way they size garments or did they stitch the wrong size labels on.

We have bought both 200 and 260 weight leggings and long sleeve crews for hiking in the mountains and winter camping. They have kept us warm and dry for up to a week at a time whilst remaining stink free.
I would not consider any other base layers.
